Mobility Fee
Important Information
Starting in May 2025, the mobility fee will also apply to guests of the MorgenZeit Hotel in Maria Alm. This legally mandated fee helps fund the expansion of public transportation in the Salzburger Land region and aims to provide guests with even better connectivity to the area. The mobility fee will be charged for all taxable overnight stays, meaning it applies to all guests aged 15 and older. The amount of the fee varies depending on the year, and it will be used to finance the free use of public transportation throughout the state of Salzburg. On our website, you will find all the important information about the mobility fee, how it works, and how to obtain your mobility ticket. We aim to provide you with a transparent overview of this new initiative and its benefits for your stay at our hotel.
How does the guest receive
The mobility ticket is provided to guests during the pre-check-in process at home, allowing them to use it for all public transportation within the Salzburg Transport Association upon arrival. Guests who do not use the pre-check-in will receive their ticket during check-in at the accommodation. The ticket is issued through the guest registration system and can either be displayed electronically on the guest's mobile phone or provided in paper form. An app is not required to use the ticket.
What are the funds used for?
The revenue from the mobility fee is used to finance free travel for all overnight guests in the state of Salzburg. Additionally, the funds contribute to the expansion of the tourist transportation schedule to improve public transport with better frequency for all users.
