Holidays in
Summer and Autumn
Holidays in the Hochkönig-Region
Summer and autumn are the best seasons for a relaxed holiday in Salzburg’s Pinzgau. In addition, Maria Alm and Salzburger Land also offer a "5th season" during this time - the so-called "Farmers' Autumn".
If you have sporting ambitions, you can practice countless sports here. In Maria Alm and around the region you can enjoy hiking, climbing, walking, cycling, mountain biking, swimming, archery, horse riding, paragliding, rafting, canyoning, summer tobogganing, golf or tennis and much more to burn off some energy.
You can also hike up to our local mountain - Prinzenberg Natrun - where there is plenty to discover: go climbing around in the high ropes course at up to 14 m height between the trees, recharge your batteries by Lake Prinzensee in the cold water or observe local animal species in the wildlife enclosure at Jufenalm. There are several options for getting back down into the valley: a gondola ride on the Natrunbahn, down the slides of our Forest Slide Park with a total length of 200 m or with the bike down the Flowtrail. If you are an archer or want to become one, then take a ride or hike up to the archery course at a local mountain called "Jufen". Here, you can "hunt" for 28 different 3-D-animals. No matter if you are a beginner or already a professional.
Should you be interested in the customs and culture of your holiday region, then simply visit one of the many traditional events and celebrations. Watch a concert or visit a museum. Especially during the FARMERS’ AUTUMN - the so-called "5th season" - there is much to experience. In the time from the end of August until the beginning of November, you have the opportunity to witness the traditional rural life at handicraft demonstrations, hikes, guided tours through the cottage garden, cooking lessons, harvest festivals, the annual drive of cattle down the mountain and traditional customs events.
Come to us in the Wellnesshotel MorgenZeit, start every day with the Gourmet-Brunch and experience something new every day in the mountains of Pinzgau.
